Leaving the San Diego district behind, we will arrive at the Santo Domingo district, one of the oldest and most iconic areas within the Walled City. Centered around the lively Plaza Santo Domingo, it's known for its colonial charm, vibrant atmosphere, and historical significance. The district is home to the Iglesia de Santo Domingo, the oldest church in Cartagena, as well as the famous reclining bronze sculpture "Gertrudis" by Fernando Botero.

After soaking the sights and sounds of the walled city. We will visit Centennial Park. Which is home to several species such as friendly-monkeys called capuchins, iguanas, birds and sloths. Take some time to learn about the specific monkeys you may encounter, their dietary needs, and their behavior. This will help you feed them appropriately.

Next to Centennial park we will find, Getsemaní. It is a vibrant neighborhood located just outside the historic walled city of Cartagena, Colombia. It has become a popular destination for tourists due to its rich cultural heritage, artistic scene, and historical significance.

Continue the tour by exploring some of Cartagena's famous tourist attractions. visit Castillo San Felipe, a mighty fortress that played a crucial role in the city's defense during colonial times. Also known as the Convento de la Popa. It is a historic and religious site located at 10 minutes from the popular market and 5 minutes from the San Felipe castle. It is situated atop a hill known as Cerro de la Popa, offering panoramic views of the city and the Caribbean Sea. It will be the last stop. From this moment on, you are able to decide how much time you would like to spend visiting this incredible monastery before leaving and being dropped off back at your hotel.
